From here...After months of struggle capped by a final wrenching compromise over abortion, Speaker Nancy Pelosi predicted, "we will pass health care reform," and likened the events to the creation of Social Security in 1935 and Medicare 30 years later. You mean the two government programs that are currently bursting at the seams, threatening to rock the economy and citizens of the U.S. in ways that could easily eclipse the start of the recession last year, one of which your reform bill hopes to fix? Think before you burble, woman.
I'm not saying that health care reform will explode, but at least...I mean...You're basically saying, "Today, I will launch a new kind of transport, the kind that will go down in history like the Titanic and Hindenburg." YOU JUST DON'T DO THAT! |

No, she meant the programs that Bush and his supporters have been telling lies about the stability of for decades now.
People on the Right have been lying about how solvent and stable the Social Security and Medicare programs are for years now. | |
